No. 02 — Valheim and Rust edition

Valheim · Rust · modded · 6-hour free trial

Your Valheim or Rust server, run by talking to it.

Say what you want — install Epic Loot, make it private, update every mod, wipe the map — and ezserv works out the exact versions, applies the change, checks the server came back, and rolls it back if it did not.

Start free trial

A full server, free for 6 hours. A card is required; nothing is charged unless you choose to keep it. Then $14.99 / month per server. Steam on PC only.

Example requests, replayed as the product answers them. Questions are answered for free; a change comes back as a plan in plain English and waits for your OK, then applies, checks itself and reports back.

§ 01 — How it works

No shell. No file manager. No wiki tabs.

  1. 01

    Create

A server boots from a prepared image in minutes. Private from the first second: password set, off the public list.

  2. 02

    Ask

Say what you want in plain English. Small things just happen. Big things come back as a plan with exact versions for you to approve.

  3. 03

    Play

Every change is a snapshot, an apply, a restart and a health check. If the check fails, it rolls back on its own and tells your players what to update.

§ 02 — What you get

For people who want to play, not administer.

  • Exact versions, every time

Mods come from Thunderstore by name, pinned to exact versions with their dependencies, before anything is installed.

  • Rollback built in

Snapshot before, health check after. If the server does not come back clean, the change is undone and you are told why.

  • Private by default

Password on and off the public list until you say otherwise. Share the address with the people you choose.

  • Owners, admins, players

Three roles: who may ask for changes, who approves them, and who just plays. Admin rights are the owner's call, never the assistant's.

  • Plain-English history

Every request, plan and result written down in words your players understand, including whether they must update their own mods to join.

  • Minutes to first login

Servers start from a prepared image with the mod loader ready, not from a bare box and an afternoon of setup.

§ 03 — Pricing

The whole thing, free for 6 hours. Then one price per server.

Your own machine
Freein beta
Connect a Linux machine you already run with LinuxGSM. One command installs a small agent that only connects out; from then on you ask for changes the same way.

§ 04 — Questions

Questions people ask first.

Do my players need anything?

Valheim: Steam on PC. Modded servers have no crossplay, so Xbox and Game Pass players cannot join. For most mods, players install the same mods on their PC — every deployed change tells you whether they must, and the Mods tab gives a profile code they paste into r2modman so everyone runs the same list. Rust: nothing at all — plugins run on the server, and players join with client.connect.

What happens when the trial ends?

The server is deleted after 6 hours — automatically, nothing to cancel, and we email you an hour before. Only if you press "Keep this server" before then does the monthly plan start on the card you saved; the world and the mods carry on exactly as they were.

Is my world safe when a mod breaks?

Every change starts with a snapshot and ends with a health check. If the server does not come back clean, the change is rolled back automatically and the request shows why. Your world is never touched by a mod change.

Can I bring my own world?

Yes. On the Backups tab, upload the world's .db and .fwl files from your PC or your old host; the current world is backed up first, then yours goes in and the server restarts. Your world is backed up as you play, and owners can download any copy whenever they like.

Can I bring my own AI?

Yes. Under Account → Your AI, paste an Anthropic API key: requests on the servers you own then run on your key with no daily limit, and the usage bills to your Anthropic account. Without one, the built-in AI is included during the beta within fair use. Mod updates and settings changes apply without any AI at all.

Can I use a server I already run?

Yes. Connect a Linux machine that runs Valheim or Rust with LinuxGSM: one command installs a small agent that only connects out, and from then on you ask for changes the same way. Free during the beta.

Which games?

Valheim and Rust. A Rust server runs on a bigger machine, so it has its own price; it updates itself the moment Facepunch ships a build and nobody is online, and the monthly forced wipe happens by itself — with the blueprints kept unless you say otherwise.

Your turn.

A real server in minutes, free for 6 hours. Steam on PC only; modded servers have no crossplay.
